Norwegian Engineering Team

The Norwegian Army and their Home Guard must be among the most well-equipped armies and forces in the world, and they have plenty of good combat photographers as well. It’s only natural that we see them quite often in TFB’s Photo Of The Day.

Above you can see one of their engineering teams, as they practice shooting tanks from a distance using the Carl Gustaf 8.4 cm recoilless rifle. Recently the Norwegian Armed Forces signed a framework agreement with Saab for the new Carl-Gustaf M4, with deliveries in 2021.

The engineering team practices breaching. It involves blasting obstacles and minefields that stand in the way of the desired route.
